Hello, I’m Angela, the Nursery Manager at Leicester.
I am proud to lead a passionate and dedicated team who feel privileged to be part of our children’s early years. We provide a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
Our well-resourced, open-plan setting encourages children to engage in enriching activities that promote independence, communication, and early numeracy skills. Beyond the classroom, our outdoor play area extends learning opportunities, inspiring discovery, creativity, and a lifelong love of nature.
Who & What is Storal?
It’s our collective group of Nurseries that we are happily apart of here at Leicester. Storal stands for high quality outcomes for children and are passionate about Early Years. Bringing your whole self is a must if that’s pink hair, being Neurospicy or having a unique pastime, we encourage it all. Your unique self is what makes our Nursery even better. Check out our website to learn about our leaders and the expertise they bring to our Storal community.
About you
You are a Level 2 or above qualified, Early Years Educator / Practitioner or similar and you're looking for an Early Years Educator/Nursery Nurse/Early Years Practitioner role that allows you flexibility of working shifts around your other commitments.
You enjoy supporting and encouraging the natural curiosity and excitement of young children and were born to teach and shape the future of our younger generations.
You have a natural, nurturing, openness, a warm and positive outlook, and you care about learning and education standards in the UK.
We can consider unqualified Educators, so if you can demonstrate the necessary values and enthusiasm for working within this environment, submit an application. Nothing ventured nothing gained.
What you'll be doing
You’ll be helping to provide cover for the children as and when needed. This could be for periods of holiday, sickness, or even vacancy gaps. Sometimes you'll support for a full day, or it may just be a morning or afternoon session.
Creativity is key. Teaching young children allows for hands on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games. It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged. Of course we work within the EYFS standards, but that doesn't stop you from engaging your creative flair and enthusiasm for learning.
What you'll need
A full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years. (We can sometimes consider unqualified Educators, as long as they demonstrate the necessary qualities, values and enthusiasm for working within this environment. If you think you've got the right attitude and abilities, submit an application, who knows it might be the best thing you ever did. Nothing ventured nothing gained!)
Experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner) or having worked with children under the age of 5, is advantageous
Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS is desirable
Reflecting the Storal values around responsibility, openness and working together
