Accounts Payable Clerk

RECfinancial are supporting our long standing Leicester‑based client in their search for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk who thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of the end to end purchase ledger process.

Due to the company’s location, this role is easily commutable from Wigston, Enderby, Syston, Thurmaston, Hinckley, Coalville, Loughborough and the wider Leicestershire area.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of all supplier transactions. Your responsibilities will include:

Processing high volumes of supplier invoices
Completing 3 way matching (PO, delivery note, invoice)
Reconciling supplier statements
Preparing and processing monthly runs
Supporting month end tasks including accruals
Liaising with suppliers and internal teams to resolve queries
Monitoring aged creditors
Contributing to process improvements across the AP functionWe’re looking for someone who brings both experience and the right mindset. You will have:

Previous experience in Accounts Payable or finance administration
Proven ability to process high volumes of invoices
Strong understanding of AP processes
Confident user of accounting systems and Excel
Excellent organisational skills with a methodical, accurate approach
Strong communication skills and the confidence to resolve queries proactivelyThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive finance team where your contribution will be valued. On Offer:

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, early finish Friday
