Domestic Assistant

About The Role:

At NEXT we have a great opportunity for a Domestic Assistant to join our team based at Radar Road in Leicester. You will work within our busy Facilities department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment for our employees and visitors. 

The working hours for role are Monday-Friday 9am - 2:15pm working 25 hours per week

What You'll Take On:

• Cleaning and sanitising designated areas (offices, toilets, and common zones) to an impeccable standard.
• Operating cleaning machinery and using chemicals safely while strictly adhering to COSHH and health and safety regulations.
• Vacuuming, window cleaning, waste removal, and ensuring all surfaces are dust-free.
• Keeping an eye on inventory, replenishing amenities (soap, paper towels, etc.), and reporting any shortages.
• Assisting with the setup and cleanup of meetings and corporate events.
• Reporting maintenance issues or hazards and working alongside the wider facilities team to keep operations running smoothly.
  
  

What You'll Bring:

• Proven experience in a cleaning role, ideally within a corporate or professional setting.
• Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and modern techniques.
• Reliability: The ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Attitude: A flexible approach, a positive outlook, and a genuine passion for high housekeeping standards.
• Physical Stamina: The ability to perform repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods, and handle heavy lifting as required.
• Good interpersonal skills to interact with our Head Office staff and visitors.
