About the Role
As Teacher of English , you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 , with the possibility of contributing to KS5 depending on experience. You will deliver a well-sequenced curriculum that develops:
Strong reading comprehension and analytical skills
Confident extended writing through modelling, structure and purposeful practice
Secure vocabulary, grammar and sentence fluency across year groups
Exam confidence through deliberate practice, feedback and clear routines
Students study a broad range of texts including novels, plays, poetry and non-fiction. Lessons are designed to encourage interpretation, discussion and thoughtful analysis while ensuring students develop the skills required for GCSE success.
You will support learners with different starting points, using effective scaffolding where needed while maintaining high expectations and providing stretch and challenge for high attainers.
