Spire Leicester Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Nursing Manager to lead our Pre-Assessment service on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a key leadership role, responsible for delivering a high-performing, patient-focused service while driving clinical quality, operational efficiency, and team development.
Duties and Responsibilities
As Nursing Manager, you will:
- Lead and manage the Pre-Assessment service, ensuring safe, effective, and high-quality patient care
- Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care across multiple clinical teams
- Provide strong clinical and operational leadership, supporting and developing your team
- Deliver against key performance indicators, ensuring the efficient running of the department
- Embed clinical governance, risk management, and continuous improvement into daily practice
- Lead audits and service reviews, implementing action plans to drive improvements
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional standards, including CQC requirements
- Manage resources effectively, including staffing and stock control, working closely with finance colleagues
- Build strong relationships with consultants and external stakeholders to support service growth
- Identify and implement innovative approaches to enhance service delivery and patient experience
- Promote a culture of equality, diversity, and inclusion across the team
- Ensure accurate and compliant handling of patient information in line with data protection requirements
Who We're Looking For
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
- Proven experience in a Ward Manager or similar leadership role
- Previous experience within the independent healthcare sector
- Substantial perioperative experience
- Demonstrable experience of clinical audit, governance, and quality improvement
- Management or leadership qualification (or working towards)
- Evidence of ongoing professional development (CPD)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- A proactive and forward-thinking approach to service development
