About The Role & Who We’re Scouting
We’re on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Accounts Manager to join our squad at Leicester City Football Club. As Accounts Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of the purchase and sales ledgers, ensuring prompt payment of LCFC, LCWFC and Leicester City in the Community suppliers and efficient collection of revenue from credit customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing a detailed understanding of how the PO process and accounting system works to support colleagues and users in their required tasks.
- Supporting the Purchase Ledger Clerk in processing daily supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Proactively manage and resolve invoice queries with suppliers.
- Process agent and club invoices in line with EFL/FA requirements.
- Manage invoice approvals process through tracking documents and records.
- Complete month-end reconciliations of general ledger and sub-ledger accounts.
- Conduct monthly bad debt reviews
- Review and approve employee expenses and virtual credit card charges.
- Download and review daily bank statements across all bank accounts.
- Allocate all accounts payable payments
- Lead and support the accounts team, ensuring workloads are prioritised effectively.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience working as an Accounts Manager, and specifically bring:
- Allocate all accounts payable payments
- Lead and support the accounts team, ensuring workloads are prioritised effectively
- Previous experience of managing a small team.
- Previous experience in a purchase ledger role.
- Solid IT skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrates honesty, integrity, reliability and the ability to ensure confidentiality at all times.
- Friendly, well organised with the ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure.
- Possess strong time management skills and have a flexible approach to work.
Able to communicate to the highest level, listens, interprets and conveys information in a clear, respectful and accurate manner, provides timely delivery of information and selects the most appropriate method of communication.
