Year 3 Teacher - Leicester
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and committed Year 3 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Leicester, starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Lower Key Stage 2 and enjoys delivering high-quality lessons that engage and challenge pupils, helping them develop the skills, confidence, and independence they need to succeed.

As a Year 3 Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum. You will foster curiosity, resilience, and positive learning behaviours while providing tailored support for pupils with diverse needs. Working closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leadership, you will ensure consistency and high standards across the year group.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 3 curriculum
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL learners
Promote independence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours
Maintain a structured, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records
Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants, Key Stage 2 colleagues, and senior leaders
Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school initiatives
Support extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities
Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching Lower Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be reflective, proactive, and adaptable
Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing
Work collaboratively as part of a professional and supportive team
