Be part of our dynamic and forward-thinking team as a Senior Civil Engineer in our thriving, well-established Leicester office, where collaboration and innovation drive everything we do.
As a vital member of the team, you'll contribute to the successful delivery of a wide range of of Infrastructure projects—including Residential, Custodial, Healthcare, Education, Ministry of Justice, Commercial, and Leisure developments. You will need to be eligible to achieve SC clearance.
At Pick Everard, 'infrastructure' means so much more than just roads. We're looking for someone with a variety of experience across multiple elements of the built environment, including buildings, drainage systems, pavements and pathways and car parks. Roads and highways are useful and beneficial, but you'll work across many more elements of infrastructure than just roads.

Your core responsibilities will include:
- Produce technical designs, specifications, and reports for a wide range of projects varying in size, type, and complexity.
- Collaborate on both single-discipline and multi-disciplinary projects.
- Contribute to business growth by maintaining and developing strong client and partner relationships.
- Assist senior leadership in achieving business objectives and successful project delivery.
- Compliance with Health and Safety requirements, practices and procedures.
- Team leadership - you'll oversee a small team and will be responsible for mentoring, developing and upskilling the team as well as workload management and approval.

About YouOur ideal Senior Civil Engineer will have:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; working towards or holding IEng/CEng (ICE).
- Be eligible to achieve SC clearance.
- Experience delivering infrastructure and bespoke projects, with a flexible approach willing to take on a range of schemes.
- Proficient in industry-standard design software.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude; able to lead and support teams.
- Confident in client liaison and building relationships across disciplines and external teams.
- Knowledge of construction contracts and appointment forms.
- Engaged in CPD with a drive for continuous professional development.
- Strong problem-solving skills with ownership of tasks.
- Experience writing and presenting reports, contributing to bids and work winning.
- Ability to lead sub-teams and ensure high-quality design outputs.
