English Teacher - Leicester - January Start

We are pleased to be working with an established mixed secondary school in Leicestershire seeking to appoint an Early Career English Teacher from January . This full-time, permanent ECT role involves delivering English & Literature across Key Stages 3–5 (GCSE and some A-Level), within a department that supports growth, creativity, and progression.

About the Role
You will teach structured, ambitious English lessons with opportunities to explore literature, writing, and language across classes. The school encourages reflective practice, collaborative planning, and regular mentoring to support your development. There are chances to run reading groups, creative writing workshops, and cross-curricular literacy initiatives, all within a department that values innovation and care.

Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who:

• Holds QTS, PGCE, or equivalent
• Has solid subject knowledge in English & Literature
• Is ready to teach GCSE English (and develop into A-Level)
• Is reflective, organised, student-centred, and eager to improve
• Has the legal right to work in the UK
