We're working with a well-established engineering business in Leicester who are looking to add a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical skills and CNC machinery experience, looking for a stable, days-based role within a busy manufacturing environment.

The Role

You'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of CNC and specialist machinery, ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum and equipment is running efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

• Mechanical maintenance across CNC and specialist machinery
• Repairs to gearboxes, bearings, shafts, chains, pumps and tanks
• Responding to breakdowns and carrying out fault finding
• Supporting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
• Carrying out machinery refurbishment when required
• Basic PLC fault finding and interrogation
• Identifying faults and implementing effective solutions
• Working in line with health & safety standards
• Supporting across multiple company sites when required

What We're Looking For

• HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment
• Strong experience working with CNC multi-axis machines
• Knowledge of Fanuc and Siemens controls
• Confident with fault finding and mechanical repairs
• Up-to-date knowledge of engineering techniques and equipment
