Relationship Support Officer - Islamic Banking

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting for a Relationship Support Officer to join a growing Islamic Banking & Intermediary team at a well-established international bank, based in Leicester.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in Islamic Banking, relationship management, and credit support, working closely with experienced Relationship Managers in a client-focused environment.

The Role

As a Relationship Support Officer, you will support the Relationship Manager in the day-to-day management of a client portfolio. You will gain exposure to credit proposals, client servicing, and account monitoring, while developing a strong understanding of Islamic Banking products and client requirements.

This role is ideal for someone with banking experience or strong interest in financial services, looking to develop within a structured and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and processing of credit proposals, including financial analysis (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow)
Support the servicing of existing clients and assist with identifying new business opportunities
Maintain and monitor client accounts, including payments, documentation, and facility performance
Track and follow up on due dates, renewals, and outstanding documentation
Respond promptly to client queries and provide high-quality customer service
Attend client meetings where required and prepare call reports
Liaise with internal teams including Operations, Credit, and Compliance to ensure smooth service delivery
Support ongoing account reviews and portfolio monitoring
Maintain accurate records, including insurance policies, stock reports, and account documentation

Requirements

Degree qualified (preferred but not essential)
Up to 3 years' experience within banking or financial services (desirable)
Strong interest in Islamic Banking and financial products
Good understanding of financial analysis and reporting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Team player with a proactive and flexible approach
