This role offers a fantastic mix of clinical leadership, hands-on veterinary work, and genuine influence over the future direction of the practice.

The Role

• Position: Clinical Director (80% clinical / 20% non-clinical)

• Location: Solely based at a large, well-equipped hospital site in Leicester

• Hours: 40 hours per week over 4 days, with a 1 in 4 Saturday rota

• Lead a dedicated team of 29 vets, including certificate holders in ophthalmology, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, and emergency critical care

• Oversee clinical standards, support the wider team, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations

• Opportunity to help shape clinical direction and mentor colleagues across all levels

About You

You’ll be an experienced veterinary surgeon with a strong clinical background and a passion for leadership.
Ideal candidates will bring:

• 10+ years of experience in small animal practice

• Proven ability to inspire, lead, and develop a veterinary team

• Confidence across all aspects of general practice

• A collaborative, people-focused approach and commitment to patient care
