Primary Care Trainer, Application & Change Support Officer
Job Overview
We are recruiting two confident and skilled Training, Application & Change Support Officers to join our Digital Team. These roles support GP practices and primary care services to make effective use of clinical systems and digital tools.
You will provide daytoday training, application support and user guidance, helping clinical and administrative staff work safely and efficiently. The post holders will also support digital change activity, contribute to system documentation and learning materials, and assist with configuration checks, data quality improvements and testing when new functionality or processes are introduced.
About You
We are looking for individuals with proven experience working in a primary care setting, with a strong understanding of general practice workflows. You will be confident delivering training, resolving system queries and supporting a wide range of users in a fastpaced environment. While systemspecific training will be provided, you must be able to adapt quickly, communicate clearly and build effective working relationships with customers.
Additional Information
This is an officebased role , requiring attendance on site a minimum of three days per week. Travel across the locality is required to visit customer sites to deliver training, provide support and assist with change activity. Participation in an oncall rota is also required.

Job Description Summary (Main duties and responsibilities)
Provide firstline and escalated application support across clinical and business systems, diagnosing incidents through structured troubleshooting and clearly explaining technical issues to nontechnical users. Accurately record activity in service management systems, contribute to knowledge base materials and support improvements to service desk processes. Liaise with senior teams and thirdparty suppliers where required.
Deliver system training using classroom, virtual, elearning and onetoone methods. Maintain and update training resources, including version control, and support staff to confidently and appropriately use digital systems. Assist with onboarding of new staff and services, embedding change where systems are not used effectively, and produce clear user guidance such as quickstart resources.
Support digital change activity through clear communications relating to system changes, downtimes and upgrades. Assist with user readiness, attend user groups as required, and capture feedback and lessons learned following golives.
Support system administration activities, including configuration checks, system upgrades, data quality improvements and quality assurance of templates and digital resources. Maintain accurate records, support reporting, identify recurring issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
Participate in oncall rotas, maintain mandatory training and professional standards, support audits and incident reviews, promote equality and safe working practices, and deputise for the Team Leader where appropriate.
