CAMHS Social Worker
We are seeking an enthusiastic Social Worker with experience supporting children and young people, especially those with neurodiversity, emotional regulation difficulties, trauma histories and highrisk behaviours. You will join a team providing intensive, psychologically informed care across community and inpatient settings. The role is based at the Beacon Unit in Leicester, which is also developing a new day service to enhance support for young people on the ward. Working within an MDT and linked with the acute risk pathway, you will help deliver compassionate, recoveryfocused mental health support for young people and families. You will assess social circumstances, contribute to care planning and interventions, and hold a small caseload. You will work closely with nurses, doctors, education staff, OTs, SALT, family therapists and psychologists. Working with young people and their families/ carers to develop holistic care plans / treatment interventions Working with other agencies in a collaborative way to manage risk Working within a team who prioritise compassion, adaptability and creativity Undertake routine and profession specific outcomes measures Completion of social circumstance reports, individualised care plans and risk assessments Work in conjunction with other community and health professionals to deliver joined up care pathway to meet the specific need of the child/ young person and their family. Contribute to audits and quality improvement activities and actively participate in service development.
