The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Teach Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across a range of sports and physical activities

• Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles among students

• Encourage participation, resilience, and confidence in all learners

• Support students of all abilities through inclusive and differentiated teaching

• Prepare students for GCSE PE (where applicable)

• Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental resources

• Support extracurricular activities such as sports clubs, fixtures, and school competitions

• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback

• Play an active role in the pastoral life of the school, including form tutoring

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a candidate who:

• Holds (or is working towards) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Has a degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related subject

• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for PE

• Is eager to develop their teaching practice as an Early Career Teacher

• Has high expectations for student achievement, participation, and behaviour

• Is enthusiastic, energetic, and committed to promoting physical wellbeing

• Works well as part of a collaborative and supportive team
