Mechanical Fitter Wanted! Location: Leicester | Full Time Salary: £32K (£49K OTE including overtime) | On Site We’re working with a market-leading manufacturer based in Leicester, specialising in heavy plant equipment. Due to continued growth, they’re now looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter to join their workshop team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be building large-scale machinery from the ground up — ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and being part of a solid engineering environment. Roles & Responsibilities Building and assembling plant machinery from scratch Working from detailed engineering drawings Using a range of hand tools and workshop equipment Supporting with installation and fitting of mechanical components Working as part of a skilled shop floor team Requirements Engineering or mechanical background Experience building or assembling machinery/equipment Ability to read and work from engineering drawings Confident using hand tools Comfortable in a physical, hands-on role Happy working in a workshop and occasionally outdoors in the elements What’s On Offer £14–£17 per hour depending on experience Stable, long-term opportunity with a well-established business Plenty of overtime available Opportunity to work on large, interesting engineering projects Supportive team environment Next Steps Apply to this Mechanical Fitter role through this advert.
