Fabricator / Welder - Sheet Metal & Ductwork
Location: Leicester Pay: £15.50 - £17.50 per hour (DOE) ⏰ Hours: Monday - Thursday | Friday - Half Day Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role
Workforce are currently working with a busy, growing fabrication company in Leicester, specialising in high-quality sheet metal fabrications and ventilation components. We're looking for a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join a hands-on, supportive team. You'll be working on varied, interesting projects - from standard sheet metal fabrications to bespoke ventilation ductwork. If precision, quality, and teamwork are your thing, this is the perfect role for you! What You'll Be Doing Fabricating sheet metal parts to specification - including ductwork, fittings, and bespoke components
Operating workshop machinery safely ( guillotines, folder/press brakes, rollers, plasma cutters )
Performing MIG welding (TIG/spot welding experience is a bonus)
Reading and working from technical drawings, cutting lists, and job sheets
Measuring, cutting, forming, and assembling components accurately
Inspecting finished work for quality and compliance
Keeping your workstation clean, safe, and organised What You Bring
Essential: Hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication and welding
Competence in marking out, cutting, forming, and assembling sheet metal
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Experience operating standard workshop machinery
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage your own workload Desirable: Experience fabricating HVAC ductwork - rectangular, circular, or flat-oval
Familiarity with ventilation fittings ( bends, branches, reducers, transitions )
Welding experience ( TIG, MIG, or spot )
Knowledge of common ductwork standards ( HVCA DW/144 ) ✨ Why This Role Rocks Competitive pay: £15.50 - £17.50 per hour (DOE)
