English Teacher - Hinckley, Leicestershire - January 2026
An ambitious and inclusive secondary school in Hinckley is looking to appoint a dedicated Teacher of English to join its successful English department from January 2026.
English plays a central role in the school’s curriculum, with a strong emphasis on literacy, communication and confidence. The department has invested heavily in curriculum development, ensuring clear progression from KS3 through to GCSE, with strong outcomes and improving post-16 uptake.
You will be responsible for:
Teaching English Language and Literature across KS3–KS4
Delivering lessons that balance structure, creativity and challenge
Using assessment and feedback to support progress and intervention
Contributing to reading initiatives and enrichment opportunities
