Senior Civil Engineer

With a strong pipeline of residential-led projects and continued investment in their civil engineering team, this is a business that offers stability, technical variety and clear opportunities for progression. ________________________________________ About the Role As a Civil Engineer, you'll be involved in the design and delivery of civil infrastructure packages for residential and high-rise schemes. You'll work across drainage, highways and external works, supporting projects from early concept through to detailed design and construction support. This role offers a balance of technical design, coordination with multidisciplinary teams and client-facing responsibility. It's well suited to an engineer looking to develop their career within residential-led development while gaining exposure to complex, high-density urban schemes. ________________________________________ The key requirements for this Civil Engineer role are:
- Design and deliver civil engineering solutions for residential and high-rise developments
- Prepare drainage strategies, levels design and external works packages
- Produce detailed designs and drawings in line with adoptable standards
- Support planning, technical approvals and discharge of conditions
- Coordinate with structural, architectural and geotechnical teams
- Liaise with local authorities, statutory undertakers and approval bodies
- Attend design team and client meetings as required
- Provide technical input during construction stages and respond to site queries
- Ensure designs comply with current standards, regulations and best practice
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience working on residential and housing-led developments
- Knowledge of drainage and highway design standards including S38, S278 and S104
- Experience producing detailed civil design packages
- Confident communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
- Good understanding of UK design standards and approval processes
- Experience working on high-rise or complex urban developments
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar design software
- Knowledge of SuDS design and flood risk assessments
- Working towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status
- Previous experience supporting projects through construction
