Fire alarm Engineer

Job Title: Protec Fire Alarm Engineers (Subcontract)
Location: Derby / Leicester / Nottingham
Contract: 3 Months Initial (with option to extend)
Start Date: Within 3 Weeks
Status: Outside IR35

The Role We are looking for two experienced Fire Alarm Engineers with Protec system experience to support a live housing contract across Derby, Leicester and Nottingham.

The role will involve a mix of 1st and 2nd fix installation work, testing, fault finding and commissioning of Protec 6500 panels, along with other advanced fire alarm systems. Engineers will be working across multiple housing sites as part of an ongoing programme of works.

Pay & Benefits
£33.00 – £35.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Outside IR35

Door-to-door pay

Weekly pay

5 days per week consistent work

Initial 3-month contract with likely extension

Online timesheet portal for easy submission

Key Responsibilities
Installation of fire alarm systems (1st and 2nd fix)

Testing and commissioning of Protec panels

Working on advanced fire alarm systems

Fault finding and system checks

Ensuring works are completed to industry standards

Working across occupied housing properties

Essential Requirements
Experience working with Protec fire alarm systems

Experience installing and commissioning fire alarm panels

Ability to work independently

Valid DBS (or willing to obtain)

Own tools and transport

Desirable
Experience with advanced fire alarm panels

Door entry system experience

Experience within housing or social housing environments

ECS/CSCS card (preferred)

Teams interview required prior to start.
