Home. There’s no place like it. And there’s no feeling quite like helping people create the joy of feeling truly at home. At Dunelm, that’s what we do. We’re the UK’s number one choice for homewares because we make home life lovelier for our customers. And the caring, encouraging culture we’ve built makes this a place you’ll feel right at home too.

We’re proud to offer over 100,000 products and a shopping experience that works for everyone whether that’s online, in-store, or a mix of both. We’re growing fast, investing in our supply chain, stores, and technology so we can keep delighting customers with more choice, better services, and clever innovations. And we’re doing it all with sustainability in mind, through our Good & Circular strategy because a home that feels good should do good too

About the Role

This role supports Dunelm’s compliance with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and UK Timber Regulation (UKTR) across timber, wood, and in‑scope derived products, working with suppliers and third‑party partners to ensure robust due diligence, accurate data, and regulatory readiness. Alongside this core compliance focus, the role also provides secondary technical support on furniture products, using wood and product knowledge to assist with quality reviews and product assessments.

What you'll be doing

EUDR & UKTR Compliance (Primary Focus)

  • Support Dunelm’s compliance with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and UK Timber Regulation (UKTR) across all timber/wood categories and in‑scope derived goods.
  • Act as a key contact for internal teams and suppliers on timber regulatory requirements, due diligence expectations, and data quality.
  • Maintain and operate the Due Diligence System (DDS), ensuring accurate HS code identification, geolocation data, supplier information, risk assessments, mitigation actions, and evidence management.
  • Work with our third‑party assessor to track supplier risk assessments, review outcomes, and support the completion of corrective action plans (CAPs).
  • Provide training, guidance, and escalation where suppliers do not meet EUDR/UKTR data standards or fail to achieve “negligible risk” outcomes.
  • Ensure only fully compliant stock is approved for EU dispatch, supported by robust documentation and traceability.
  • Monitor updates to EU and UK regulatory guidance, ensuring changes are captured in supplier requirements, internal processes, and system controls.
  • Maintain strong governance of data and documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.

Furniture Technical Support (Secondary Focus)

  • Provide technical input on furniture products to support quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and risk assessments.
  • Contribute to product and material reviews by identifying potential issues related to timber legality, construction, durability, and safety.
  • Support suppliers in meeting Dunelm’s technical standards, testing requirements, and quality expectations.
  • Assist in evaluating returns, customer feedback, and testing results to identify opportunities for product improvements.
  • Collaborate with Buying, Design, Quality and Supply Chain teams to integrate sustainability and compliance considerations into furniture development.
  • Ensure manufacturing sites meet Dunelm’s technical and ethical standards, including auditing and corrective actions.
  • Support the implementation of sustainability and circularity initiatives across the furniture category.

What we'll look for in you

  • Proven experience in timber or forest‑risk compliance , quality assurance, or sourcing within a retail or supply‑chain environment.
  • Strong, hands‑on knowledge of UK Timber Regulation (UKTR) obligations and expectations set by the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) .
  • In‑depth understanding of EUDR requirements , with the ability to translate legislation into clear operational processes.
  • Solid grasp of critical path management , combined with advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong data‑analysis capability.
  • Experience working with FSC and PEFC certification schemes.
  • Highly desirable: background in furniture products, materials, or wood‑based manufacturing standards.
