Behaviour and Pastoral Support Officer
Behaviour & Pastoral OfficerWe are seeking a committed Behaviour and Pastoral Officer to join our large primary school team. You will play a leading role in celebrating and reinforcing positive behaviour each day, while holding the children accountable for their behaviour and choices.
You will;Build trusted relationships with children who need additional support to access learning and manage their emotionsPlan and deliver structured 1:1 and group interventions, including Zones of Regulation strategies and work on target areas for individuals and groupsWork in classrooms across the schools to support pupils and reward positive behavioursRespond to children who are dysregulated or disengaged, helping them to re-focus and re-join learningCelebrate positive behaviours and ensure these are recognised, rewarded and reinforced consistently across the dayWork alongside class teachers, the SENDCos, DSLs and SLT to identify needs and implement supportLiaise with parents and external agencies when required

We are looking for someone who;Has experience with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour or emotional development in a school settingUnderstands how emotional regulation, relationships and readiness to learn are closely linkedIs confident, calm and reliable in challenging circumstancesCan work both flexibly and within structured routines and systemsIs a strong role model for pupils and demonstrates a high standard of professionalismDemonstrates their presence positively with children, staff and parents.
Paid at Leicester City grade 6, point 15 - Actual salary is £26,174. 35 hours per week - 8.15am-4.15pm for 39 weeks per year (term time + 1 week)Closing date 29th May 2026
