What you will do:

* Manage a complex caseload of children and families, including Child Protection (Section 47) and Child in Need (Section 17) cases.

* Undertake and oversee statutory assessments, risk assessments, and care planning, ensuring timely and effective safeguarding interventions.

* Lead and contribute to multi-agency safeguarding processes, including strategy discussions, child protection conferences, and core group meetings.

* Prepare and present high-quality reports and court documentation, including involvement in Public Law Outline (PLO) and care proceedings where required.

Person Specification:

Qualifications

* Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent)

* Evidence of continued professional development

* Post-qualifying training (desirable)

Registration & Compliance

* Registered with Social Work England

* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks, including Children Act 1989 and 2004, and Working Together to Safeguard Children

* Enhanced DBS clearance
