Mobile Vehicle Technician – Service, Maintenance & Repair Division

Why this role is different

Unlike traditional roadside rescue, this position works from a pre‑planned digital schedule. There are no emergency call‑outs, no unpredictable shift patterns and no roadside recoveries. You’ll receive the time, tools and support needed to deliver high‑quality work on every appointment.

What you’ll do each day

• Perform routine servicing and comprehensive diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Carry out in‑depth repairs normally completed in a workshop.
• Provide clear advice and recommendations to members based on your inspections.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks in line with the organisation’s standards.
• Use a fully equipped service van, fuel card, uniform, complete tool set and diagnostic kit supplied from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow a clear, pre‑booked schedule of appointments.
• Complete each job to the highest technical standard, ensuring member safety and satisfaction.
• Order parts and manage inventory through the organisation’s mobile platform.
• Document work performed and communicate any further recommendations to members.

What we’re looking for

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• At least 2 years of experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.

Working conditions

• Full‑time, 40 hours per week.
• Core hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, with one Saturday shift every four weeks.
• Guaranteed overtime option after the first month (optional, £30 per hour).
• All tools, vehicle, fuel card and uniform provided.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary – £40,170 base, with on‑target earnings up to £52,000 through bonuses and premium‑rate overtime.
