About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Network Management Specialist within the Transport Strategy and Policy Team in the Environment and Transport Department. We are looking for someone to support the development and implementation of the County Council’s transport policy particularly the approach to managing transport networks.

About You
To apply for this post, you must be able to evidence in your application how you meet the following criteria:
- Degree in relevant qualification (e.g. Civil Engineering or Transportation OR equivalent demonstrable work experience of strategy and policy development.
- Conducting and managing significant research projects to collect and analyse evidence for transport strategy development, such as evidence bases.
- Have excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work within tight timescales whilst working under pressure.
- Interpreting and writing technical and non-technical transport reports and providing technical advice to a range of stakeholders, including senior management and Elected Members
- Excellent communication and presentation skills including the ability to shape and influence to achieve successful outcomes and to continue to build on the credibility of the Council and its services.
- Lead and deliver sustainable, collective high performance through leadership, the setting of clear priorities and a strong approach to performance management.
In addition, we also expect you to share our commitment to our values and to delivering accessible and inclusive services which meet the needs of all of our residents. You will be asked to demonstrate your understanding of these commitments as part of the selection process.
