Family Solicitor
Salary: £53,500+ | Part-time considered
A well-established regional law firm is looking to appoint a Family Solicitor to join its growing Leicester-based family team.
This role has arisen due to sustained growth and increasing demand, particularly in financial remedy work, and offers an excellent opportunity for a junior solicitor who is confident, proactive, and keen to develop their own profile locally.
The Role
You’ll work closely with two senior lawyers who are extremely busy and require hands-on support. The role will involve running your own matters with autonomy, supporting on more complex cases, and helping to build relationships both externally and internally within the firm.
The work is primarily private family law, with a strong focus on financial matters, alongside developing children work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing your own caseload of private family matters
- Supporting senior lawyers on more complex financial cases
- Drafting documents and preparing matters for hearings
- Day-to-day client management from instruction through to billing
- Being proactive with business development and local relationship building
- Building strong internal referral relationships within the Leicester office
- Working with minimal supervision and taking ownership of matters
About You
This role will suit someone who is confident working independently and enjoys responsibility early in their career.
You are likely to be:
- 2-5yrs PQE (NQ+ considered and strong applicants from smaller firms welcomed)
- Interested in, or already exposed to, financial remedy work
- Proactive, organised, and comfortable running matters day to day
- Commercially aware, with an interest in business development
- Approachable and confident dealing directly with clients
