Physics Teacher - Leicester

We are seeking a confident, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable Physics Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Leicester , starting ASAP . As a Physics Teacher, you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced candidates. You will play an important role in preparing students for GCSE and A-level examinations while supporting their wider academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Physics lessons in line with the national curriculum

• Teach Physics across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)

• Prepare students for GCSE and A-level assessments

• Assess, track, and monitor student progress effectively

• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEN and EAL

• Promote positive behaviour and high expectations in the classroom

• Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development

• Work collaboratively with science colleagues and support staff

• Communicate effectively with parents and carers

• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Have strong subject knowledge in Physics

• Have experience teaching Physics at secondary level

• Be enthusiastic, reflective, and organised

• Have excellent classroom management skills

• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing

• Be a positive and collaborative team player
