About the Role:

As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons in English language and literature to students aged 11-16. Your role will involve planning and teaching lessons that develop students' reading, writing, and analytical skills, while fostering a deep appreciation for literature. You will monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and work closely with colleagues to create a rich and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in English language and literature, aligned with the national curriculum.
* Inspire a love for reading and writing by using creative and innovative teaching approaches.
* Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
* Collaborate with the English department to enhance curriculum content and teaching methods.
* Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and critical thinking.

Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in English or a related field.
* Experience teaching English at the secondary level is highly desirable.
* Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
* A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for staying current with educational best practices.
