The Role

The Science Technician is central to the smooth running of a busy and ambitious department. You will work closely with teaching staff to prepare engaging practical lessons while ensuring the highest standards of safety, organisation and presentation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing materials, chemicals and equipment for lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics

• Maintaining laboratories, prep rooms and storage areas to an excellent standard

• Supporting demonstrations and occasional practical assistance in lessons

• Managing stock, ordering and safe storage of resources

• Carrying out routine maintenance, checking and cleaning of equipment

• Ensuring compliance with health & safety and COSHH guidance

• Providing technical support for enrichment activities, clubs and events
