About the Role

The successful candidate will teach ICT across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Computing or ICT at Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will deliver engaging lessons that support pupils in developing practical ICT skills alongside theoretical understanding.

Key responsibilities include:

• Teaching ICT across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5)

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons covering digital literacy, data handling, and computer systems

• Supporting pupils in developing confidence using technology

• Monitoring and assessing pupil progress through coursework and assessments

• Preparing pupils for GCSE and/or A-Level ICT or Computing examinations

• Maintaining effective use of ICT resources and ensuring classroom systems run smoothly

• Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development

• Supporting extracurricular activities such as coding or digital skills clubs

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Have strong subject knowledge in ICT or Computing

• Be confident teaching digital skills and software applications

• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills

• Be organised and adaptable to new technologies

• Have the ability to inspire interest in technology and computing

• Work effectively as part of a collaborative department
