Senior Quantity Surveyor – Residential Housing

Up to £70,000 plus package
Full-Time | Permanent
An established and growing residential developer is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Commercial team based in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity to take a leading commercial role across a range of housing schemes, working closely with senior leadership and operational teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and within budget.
Reporting to the Commercial Lead, you will manage the financial and contractual aspects of multiple residential developments from pre-construction through to completion, taking ownership of schemes and providing commercial guidance where required.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement and negotiation of subcontract packages
Cost planning, budget management and financial reporting
Preparation of monthly valuations and cost reports
Management of subcontractor accounts and variations
Providing commercial oversight and support across multiple projects
Collaboration with technical and buying teams to drive efficiencies
Maintaining strong relationships with clients and supply chain partners
Requirements:
Proven experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level within the construction sector
Strong residential or housing experience
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to lead commercially on schemes and support junior team members where required
Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
Commercially astute with a proactive and organised approach
