Are you an experienced and passionate leader in residential childcare looking to make a lasting difference? Purple Rocket Recruitment is working exclusively with Voices for Children Limited who is seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to lead one of their children’s residential homes, supporting young people aged 6–18 who have experienced trauma, neglect, and abuse.

The Role

As a Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance. You will lead and inspire a committed staff team, creating a positive, stable environment where children feel safe, valued, and supported.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring flexibility, dedication, and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities for Registered Manager

* Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing care team

* Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and statutory requirements

* Oversee safeguarding practices and promote a safe, nurturing environment

* Manage care planning to meet each child’s individual needs

* Maintain strong partnerships with external professionals and agencies

* Oversee budgets, staffing, and the overall operation of the home

* Drive continuous improvement and prepare for inspections

About You

You are a confident and compassionate leader with a strong background in residential childcare. You bring a child-centred approach, resilience, and the ability to inspire others.

You will have:

* At least 3 years’ experience in children’s residential care, including leadership or deputy management

* A relevant Level 3/4 qualification in Children’s Residential Care/Children and Young People’s Workforce

* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to achieve within 3 years)

* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted standards, and children’s legislation

* Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills

* A proactive, solution-focused mindset
